Mark was there :-)

The Eifel Tower at a distance

The bustling streets of Paris in the snow.
What a trip. Mark ended up having to go through a lot of frustrations to get to France. The trvel agent failed to get him the transit VISA he needed to get through England so he ended up having to agree to a flight that was R14,000 more expensive so he could fly direct . . . he took hours to get to the hotel and then took hours to get to the conference centre because it was right by the airport . . . the travel agent booked him near the WRONG conference centre on the WRONG side of Paris. Then some of the public transport stopped working because of all the snow so he had to catch buses then walk a km back to his hotel (luckily Mark has a sense of direction). Lastly, his flight out of Paris and back to SA was delayed by HOURs because of the snow.
He did say that the conference was excellent and he made some good contacts - oh what a positive man my hubby is!!!
